Migrating to WinScript Live 6
The built-in script import tool makes it easy to move a script from Winscript Live 5 to WinScript Live 6. Simply open your .wsl file and the process will begin automatically.
Product File Update
A search will be performed for the latest product files for your devices. If a newer product file is found, it will imported and noted in the log.
Media Folders
Media folders are no longer supported. Instead, it is now possible to start multiple files at the same time or use a multichannel audio file to achieve the same results. If media folders are found during import it will be noted in the log.
Audio Players
Audio players now store routing data that must be configured from the Resources menu. Audio player names will be imported but this configuration must be done manually.
Logical and Timed Sequences
Logical events such as If and End If can only be used in Logical sequences. Any such events found in Timed sequences will be disabled and noted in the log.
Any timed sequences that had all events assigned to time 00:00:00.00 is assumed to be a logical sequence during the import process. Changes to sequence type are noted in the log.
Logical Events
Previous versions of WinScript used multiple variations of If events. These have been reduced to just If, If =, and If Not =. The conversion from older variations is performed automatically.
Effect Time
Event times are recalculated to make full use of WinScript Live 6 timed sequence pre-roll. Events that were never assigned a specific time may need to be adjusted manually.
Resource Names
Only valid names will be imported. If a name is not valid, it may be changed automatically and noted in the log.
Loop
Sequences can now have their loop setting enabled and disabled at runtime. To avoid confusion, the loop checkbox has been removed. Instead, use the Loop event to start sequences that should loop. The log will indicate which sequences previously had the loop checkbox enabled.
