Buttons

A button is a WinScript Live resource tied to a physical hardware button. Some controllers have user programmable buttons available at the front panel. For example, the V16X has 16 buttons.

Buttons are displayed in a pre-populated grid view based on the controller selected in the script configuration.

Couple

By default, buttons are not the same as the rear inputs. Checking the “Couple” box causes a press of the button to have the same effect as a rear pulse on the corresponding input. For example, checking “Couple” on “button1” will cause any triggers relating to “input1” to occur when “button1” is pressed.

Name

A button name can be any valid resource name. The name is typically used in sequence triggers, but may act as a read-only boolean variable in expressions as well.
